  • WELCOME!

Well, hello there. So wonderful to connect with you! I’m just an everyday, average, ordinary mama who gets to share my wonderfully mundane life through my radio show and through this blog. I’m so thankful for you, really and truly. Thank you for allowing me to share my life with you, and indulging me in sharing stories of my four crazy kids, my latest home decorating projects and my favorite “Mom Tips.”

This week, I pray that you will connect with the beautiful kids at Open Doors Orphanage in Guatemala. I will be bringing you their story, and perhaps God will move in your heart to make them a part of your story, by praying for them or sponsoring them.

Dulce Maria

Name: Dulce Mari
Birthdate: November 24th, 2011

Story: Born on Thanksgiving 2011, Dulce (meaning: “sweet” or “candy”) arrived at Open Doors Orphanage in February and has everyone wrapped around her little finger! She is as sweet as her name implies and becoming more beautiful every day! But that is not how her little life began.

Dulce’s mother came into labor 3 months premature and tried to reach the hospital, but did not make it. Dulce was born on the street and was dropped to the ground before reaching the hospital. Because she had been dropped and suffered physical damage, the mother abandoned her at the hospital stating, “I do not want her.”

We not only want her, we Love her and our Lord LOVES this child to whom HE granted life! Anyone who is privileged enough to pick up this sweet child, immediately falls in Love with her! At 3 months old she weighed only 5 lbs, but Dulce is now 5 months old and has topped the scales at 10 lbs! She will have ongoing exams, therapy, and probable operations in the future.

Prayer Needs: She is still un-restful, pray for peace. Pray for healing of her little body! Pray for her exams and treatment.

Sponsor Dulce Maria for only $32 per month.

Christian Isaiah

Name: Christian Isaiah
Birthdate: August 3rd, 2011

Story: Christian Isaiah came into our arms and care via ambulance with a police escort. He had been rescued from his mother who had been repeatedly intoxicated and not caring for little Christian. He was awarded us on February 21st, 2012 along with visitation rights from his mother who has come to our home twice to see him.

The judge gave Christian’s mother until October 2012 to “make the appropriate life changes” and she can regain custody. Unfortunately she has not been complying with the judge’s orders and is now in jeopardy of losing custody permanently. We are desperately trying to help Christian’s mother, but thus far she is unaccepting of our extended help. Christian is the easiest baby to care for and is almost always happy!

Prayer Needs: Psychological trauma and his mother’s recovery and life change.

Sponsor Christian Isaiah for only $32 per month.
